Franconian troops can be recruited from villages and towns in the South East of the Holy Roman Empire. Historically Franconia or Francia derivates from East Francia. It was a center of power in the HRE around 1200. The most important powers in that region where the Bishops of Würzburg (see also: Duke Bishop Konrad von Querfurt) and the city of Nürnberg (see also: Burgrave Konrad von Zollern).
