Faction Bulgarian Tsardom
Role Lord
Fief(s) Obluchitsa

Sevast Tsuzmen is a vassal of the Bulgarian Tsardom.

Historical Background Edit

Sevast Tsuzmen (also spelled in the sources as Chasmen and Etsuismen) is a Bulgarian lord (of potential Cuman origin), who was placed as governor of the region of Prosek after Tsar Kaloyan retook those lands from Sevast Dobromir Hris in 1203. In 1205 he managed to take control of the town of Thessaloniki, except for its citadel where the Latin troops of Bonifacius de Montferrat took refuge and eventually managed to oust Tsuzmen's ones. Not much else is known about him.

His title is known from an inscription on an eating dish, saying "Sevast Tsuzmen".
